Summer is almost over and we at Rheinheimer + Smigliani have settled into our new office space – which is literally twenty feet down the hall from our old office.

If you pulled out your tape measure, you’d find that the new office is actually smaller than the old one, but we think it “lives” larger. We’ve got a nice open plan and tons of natural light. There’s no wasted space and there’s nothing we don’t use. We like that.

Whether it’s a short move like the one we just made or a longer one, packing up all your stuff and dragging it from one place to another is a hassle and you need help to do it. In that spirit, we’d like to give a shout out to our fabulous movers, Jerry Adams and his crew from Just Moving Up – this was our second flawless moving experience with these guys and they could not be more efficient or professional. Much appreciated.

We also literally could not do anything without our IT contractor, Matt Scaffa, and his team from LawLogic Consulting. Matt has taken our calls and frantic texts at all hours of the day and night for the past five and a half years with calm grace, and all our systems run smoothly because of his expertise.

Finally, with our move came the birth of our new website, and we love, love, love the fantastic rework that Jewell Karinen has given to our online presence here at rs-apc.com.

Moving also gives you the opportunity (who am I trying to kid – it forces you) to get rid of stuff you don’t need anymore, which is a good thing. Although nothing, in my mind at least, will ever completely replace the old legal pad and a good Papermate pen, our recent move has taken us much further down the road to becoming a truly paperless law firm.

We’re looking forward to fall and we’re looking forward to continuing to provide our clients, old and new, with top-notch legal services in the areas of professional liability defense, employment defense, ADA defense, D&O defense, and general litigation avoidance strategies. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by and check out the new digs at 1230 Columbia Street, Suite 900 in beautiful San Diego.

Cheers – R+S
